St Eustatius
The Old Gin House
October 18 - October 25, 2025
"St. Eustatius is a place where history whispers through ancient ruins, nature captivates with its untouched beauty, and every moment feels like a step back in time, allowing you to rediscover the simple joys of island life."
St. Eustatius is known worldwide for having some of the most pristine waters and reefs in the Caribbean.
Diving opportunities are diverse with several unique habitats including walls, historic wrecks, reefs, macro dive sites, lava flows, boulders and rock outcroppings.
Choose from a variety of underwater archaeological sites and coral-covered shipwrecks.
One site in particular, called the Blue Bead Hole, stands out.
The blue beads found here are of historical significance to St. Eustatius. They were used as currency for enslaved people in the 17th century. The beads are the only artifacts divers are allowed to bring up in certain areas.
The Old Gin House Hotel has been expertly restored, taking inspiration from its colonial roots.
We have a small private beach and a swimming pool in the tropical garden.
Enjoy live, enjoy The Old Gin House.
When not diving, explore the island's rich past by visiting the historical sites like the 18th-century Fort Oranje, the remnants of old plantations, and the Museum of St. Eustatius. Nature lovers can hike to the top of the dormant volcano, The Quill, for breathtaking views. With its peaceful atmosphere and stunning landscapes, Sint Eustatius is a perfect destination for history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
